On Wednesday, 5th June, a few years 5 and 6 girls returned to London from their residential trip, to participate in the LSSA finals. This year we had 8 swimmers qualify for the gala which included distances of 25m, 50m and 100m events. After a long drive, we arrived in Dulwich in good time to prepare ourselves for a competitive competition. All Glendower girls did very well to qualify and swam very well. Considering how much time was taken on travelling, we did very well to come away with 5 medals.
One for Alexia in the 100m Breaststroke, one for Amelie in the 50m Butterfly, one for Maya in the 100m Front Crawl and two for myself in the 100m IM and 100m Backstroke. Overall, Glendower were placed 2nd out of 27 competing schools.
