Amazon Rainforest Assembly

On Monday Mrs Chan, who is a travel journalist, came in to talk to us about the Amazon Rainforest and her experiences there. She told us that, as the population is expanding, people are under greater pressure to use the land around the edges of the rainforest for farming and so it is constantly under threat. She expressed to us the importance of protecting the Amazon Rainforest for future generations as there are so many plants and animals that are yet to be discovered.
