Jolnar (Y6) and Lamar (Y3) took part in the Surrey Central Megafinal chess tournament last weekend. Jolnar achieved first place in the U11 Girls category, hence, receiving a trophy for her accomplishment and qualifying for the Gigafinal. Lamar achieved third place in the U8 Girls category and received a Bronze medal for her accomplishment.
Over 40,000 pupils took part in this year’s Chess Challenge and only the top 20% made it to the Megafinal. Well done girls!
