The Poetry Recital Competition was a huge success again this year. Every girl in the school learnt, practised and performed their chosen poem in class throughout the week and they should all be very proud of this achievement. As ever, the girls in the final impressed with their ability to remember their poems and perform them to perfection. Everyone performed with expression, enthusiasm, characterisation and, at times, fantastic comic timing. There were some challenging poems on display too! A big well done to the girls for their confident performances.
It was an extremely difficult decision for the judges and, after much deliberation, the winners were selected:
LOWER SCHOOL WINNER: Lilah (Year 1)
UPPER SCHOOL WINNER: Tamilla (Year 6)
I would also like to say a special thank you to our
judges:
Lower School judge: Mrs Newman, Head of Juniors
at North London Collegiate.
Upper School judge: Mrs Parkes, Head of English at
Francis Holland North.
Mrs Cadenhead (Head of English)
