The Poetry Recital Competition was a huge success again this year. Every girl in the school learnt, practised and performed their chosen poem in class through the week and they should all be very proud of this achievement. As ever, the girls in the final impressed with their ability to remember their poems and perform them to perfection. Everyone performed with expression, enthusiasm, characterisation and, at times, fantastic comic timing. There were some challenging poems on display too! A big well done to the girls for their confident performances. It was an extremely difficult decision for the judges and, after much deliberation, the winners were selected:
LOWER SCHOOL WINNER: Siena (Y1) –
‘Fishy Tales’ by June Crebbin.
UPPER SCHOOL WINNER: Kallista (Y3)-
‘There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly’.
